Guess who gets picked as the downtown developer

All the insiders are gossiping away about the likely outcome of tonight's possible showdown vote by the Bristol Downtown Development Corp. It's the hometown favorite, D'Amato Realty, versus the Long Island-based Renaissance.
Rumor has it that one of the seven BDDC members will abstain because of some sort of conflict of interest. If so, the decision comes down to six people.
And given the way things often go in Bristol, you'd have to guess a 3-3 vote in that situation.
But it probably won't be a tie, especially since the commissioners want to look unified. What's your guess? Who's going to get the nod?

I am the guy behind the curtain. I've pulled the strings, made some backroom deals, called in some favors.....It will be Renaissance.

It really does NOT matter who is chosen . The end result will be the same . Miserable failure .

Welcome to Bristol

The BDDC is stacked with homies, but these are homies who know better than to act like homies. I won't be surprised at either choice.

Of course, the more interesting question is: will the City Council accept the BDDC's recommendation?

These guys need a place for political signs. they will pick the bristol guy evening knowing its a mistake. Cockayne and Mills will have no place for signs.

It would be shocking and disappointing if the downtown developer is not Renaissance. Their plan is complete and their vision remarkable.

Sure hope Frank and company do what's right for Bristol and its citizens, and not what's best for someone's political career!

simple minds such as those here deserve simple solutions so don't bother to think.

Frank wont makie a decison because he needs to be on a power trip . Just watch him at meeting. He really beleives hes a god.

If they do pick D'Amato than it just goes to show the level of cronyism and intellect of our town officials. Renaissance has a much clearer plan of what to do and has the experience of doing it. D'Amato couldn't hold a candle to that.

"Miserable failure"

Stop looking in the mirror. We all know what YOU are. Bristol is moving forward!!!

This will be a set up if the Bristol guy gets it.He cant fund a project like this. The town will have to front him. Or then lincoln family.

Renaissance wins hands down.
