Take a look at the websites for D'Amato Construction and Renaissance Downtowns. You can learn quite a bit perusing both sites.
By the way, as an aside, when I was in Mayor Art Ward's office on Tuesday, D'Amato had just delivered a big tray of Christmas nuts and such from Super Natural with a little card attached wishing the mayor a Merry Christmas. Do you suppose that Frank Johnson, John Lodovico or Tom Cosgrove got one, too?

I believe that accepting delivery of the cookie tray from D'Amato is a violation of the City's ethics rules, especially given that D'Amato is actively competing for a city project.
I don't know that the mayor even knew it was there. It's entirely possible someone dropped it off on the waiting room table without anybody having yet seen it.
It was still wrapped in plastic, untouched.
If I'd been quicker, I probably could be enjoying a large platter of nuts right here right now -- as if I need that.
Attorney Sheridan has advised members of the BDDC to have no contact with either developer. I know we have all conformed to the advisement. As far as Mayor Ward, I have seen nothing but ethical conduct from him in the three years I've been on the BDDC.
TOM COSGROVE, BDDC
I heard that three BRISTOL CONTRACTORS may join forces and put a bid on the land. This might be a better deal for the city.
What Class DAMATO HAS did he bring a loaf of bread and a case of water too. He should be dropped from the list. This is real sad but when you have to bring gifts to get a job. Nice
-Put the property to the highest bidder start collecting taxes. Watch DAMATO take his gifts back and run. High Roller till he has to put up money.Well known MR. CHEAP.
Well it's good Ward got some nuts for xmas, because we all know he doesn't have any balls :)....I wonder if getting nuts is better than getting two front teeth?
There should be a form that the contractors all sign stating a no gift policy - especilly in a bidding war! Shame on D'Amato. Don't tell me he didn't know better!
I just looked at these two websites, and man, someone would have to be either a jackass or corrupt (or both), to choose D'Amato over Renaissance. Bristol is looking for deal maker, not a cement contractor.
Bristol contractors and their relationships with our local politicians are exactly why this city is as ugly as it is. We need someone with no prior connections to Bristol to develop this project.
I'm a single father, I have seen both websites and I am ready to make a decision! WOW!!!
Can you pass these nuts please?
Taxes probably run less than 100k/yr as the land sits.
Lets not sell our future for a few pennies.
10:59, Guess you'll have to keep wondering about whether or nuts are better cuz it's pretty obvious from your wimpy little anonymous attempt at an insult that you're totally lacking yours... ;0)
C'mon guys, it is a family thing.
DAMATO SHOULD BE THROWN OUT.
Steve,in May or June, the Bristol Press reported that Mayor Ward went to Fenway Park with the Preidents of Damato Construction & O&G Industries. They had seats behind home plate.I think it was Bob Montgomery who reported this. Can you Please verify this.Thank you.
WE Lifer -- I tried to find that and couldn't. I'll try to remember to ask Bob Montgomery about next time I see his smiling face.
