Council weighs in on downtown today

Check in this evening for live blogging of the 5:30 p.m. City Council session about the proposed deal between the city, the Bristol Downtown Development Corp. and Renaissance Downtowns. Councilors will listen to public comments, field questions and then decide whether to go along with agreement hashed out during the last several months on how to handle the revitalization of the city-owned former mall site on North Main Street.

The Report is flippin BS!
Nothing but a lot of legalese, with virtually no substance.
Bot are we getting hoodwinked.

The people are getting shorted again.

The Council should reject it and renogiate a meaningful informative agreement.

I read it and I agree

Of course its all legalese...it is a sophisticated contract for a complicated, multi-phased development project involving two city entities. Should it be written like the side of a cereal box? I think not. Just because you don't get it does not mean that "we are getting hoodwinked". You nincompoop.

What does a meaningful and informative agreement look like? Why doesn't this agreement count?

12:28 PM, It sounds like you're pretty easy to hoodwink.

12:29 PM, Maybe you'd like the report written in the style Dr. Seuss? You're probably much more comfortable with that reading level.

Because it is telling the people nothing as to what will be done to our city.

Don't we have the right to know?

Remember what happened last time when Couture did it all behind the scenes.

Won't we ever learn?

Wasn't Ward part of that behind the scenes Cabal?
