Visconti enters congressional race

Promising to combine the activism of the streets with a national focus on U.S. Rep. John Larson, Republican Joe Visconti said Thursday he’s going to beat the East Hartford politician this year.
Visconti, a former West Hartford town councilor, got clobbered by Larson two years ago in a contest that mirrored most of Larson’s 1st District races over the years.
This time will be different, Visconti said.
With voters unhappy about government at all levels, he said, “This is the year to beat him.”

Visconti promised that his campaign would bring “some real fun stuff” to the race to try to compensate for Larson’s built-in advantage in money and name recognition.

I really wish this guy would not waste anyone's time. He barely ran at all last time and used the run to promote his latest music release. His less than 15 minutes of fame are long gone and it is time to fade away.
