Bristol GOP backs Griebel

Bristol's Republican delegation threw most of its support to Oz Griebel, a businessman.
Its initial vote was 11 for Griebel, four for former Ambassador Tom Foley and one for Lt. Gov. Michael Fedele. The city also has two superdelegates, Art Mocabee and Gary Schaffrick. They each backed Foley.
It appears that the first ballot is pretty split in the GOP gubernatorial race, but Foley is clearly in the lead.
Photo is of Griebel talking to delegates Friday night.

Did Bristol GOP back Griebel, or were they given instructions?

Good question, judging by who the delegates are, I would say they were basically told what to do. One has to wonder why they picked this Griebel guy. Perhaps the ones who were "encouarged" to vote for Foley were confused and voted for the wrong guy? Or maybe this was like "being their own person" and were still confused? Lt. Gov. Fedele is ceratinly a better choice for a win that Greibel. Obviously the delegates got confused.

Too bad the GOP were not running good candidates in any of the three House districts in Bristol. Whit, Jill F., and "no one" equates to three losses.
Great party building! Who would want to be involved with this waste of time, unless they were looking for a job at the LOB or something similiar?

TJ: Grow up.

You can see in tis picture of TJ, that the focus needs to be on him. He's so worried that someone will look better than him that anyone who might, he tries to mitigate

Uh, someone esle took and posted the picture of TJ, how is it his fault, and how is he trying to make it about himself? I am pretty sure that if he had the power to post pictures of himself on this sight, he would probably also remove any nice comments about the dems who are ruining the state.

People should not be concerned about TJ Barnes. Instead, we should be worried how Bush was able to coerce Obama into doing away with Brittney Murphy and her husband. This is a major scandal waiting to erupt!

Or, we should stop wasting time bashing a guy who simply had a picture taken of him.

Someone said on another blog here that if Steve banned the dumb stuff said there wouldn't be much here on the blog.

I know TJ and think he is a decent person. If you think for a minute that he NEEDS to do any of this, you are sorely mistaken or just plain ignorant. TJ donates his time because he wants what is best for Bristol. We all want a better life for our children, families and community. We differ on how we will get there.

I think as a community and a society we would all get farther along if we discussed issues and identify common ground and trying to work together instead of coming on a blogs anonymously and making personal attacks.

TJ is a decent person who is on an ego trip: he is trying to compete with his Dad and Grandad
