What's happening this week?

Well, it's a new year. But it always takes awhile for things to get rolling after the holiday slow season.
Wednesday looks like the busiest day, with the new Republican registrar, Sharon Krawiecki, taking the oath of office in a little ceremony at 1 p.m. in the City Council chambers. The outgoing registrar, Ellie Klapatch, will swear her in.
That evening at 7 p.m. the Board of Education meets.
That same day, of course, the General Assembly gets underway. That's the way these things usually go. There will be nothing, nothing, almost nothing, then Crazy As It Can Be, then nothing again. Ah, the news biz....
Anyway, anything else happening that's noteworthy?
I'll probably spend some time this week trying to come up with a few things that we could use for a final paper, if, God forbid, it comes to that. It should have something special.

The govenor had all towns submit a list of shouvle ready projects by Jan 1. The list the Mayor submitted would be intresting.

Did I post that list? I've got it somewhere. It's also on the CCM website, I think.

How about a story on businesses that have been around for generations? If they're not doing well, what are the problems? If they are still going strong, what's the secret?
