Ward reveals what's next
Here's reporter Jackie Majerus' story on what Ward's planning next:
Mayor-elect Art Ward said city residents can expect him to finish projects already underway – like the mall and the industrial park – as well as turn attention to the West End and issues like public safety and education.
The message he got from the voters, Ward said, was that the people of Bristol are looking to him to set priorities and get results. Projects and ideas that are on paper now – like the razing of the city-owned downtown mall – need to be addressed and finished, said Ward, before more new plans are formed.
In addition to the mall and the industrial park off Middle Street, Ward said he wants to continue with revitalization of the city's parks and pay some attention to the West End. For the rest of the story, click on this link to The Bristol Press.

Maybe if Ward had stupidly and blindly supported his buddy Rosenthal, who is and has been in charge of the South Bristol Tech Park, and had been willing to support Stortz as he tried to get some meaningful work out of Rosenthal, we would be further along.
Yes, it will move along, but we could have been way ahead if Rosenthal had done his job.
Hold on to your wallets ladies and gents, this is going to get expensive!!!
Sure sure…… Let’s see what committees Mr Minor and McCauley get put on. Pay back is a B#*CH.
McCauley and Minor won and Art Ward will have to recognize that the people spoke. He is not going to go after them. There are some new faces and there will be new committee assignments but why would he stumble out of the gate and cause more friction? Not going to happen. It is McCauleys 2nd term and Minor's 3rd term and Art is going to have to treat them as the senior guys they now are. He is not going to pull a Stortz like what Stortz did to him 2 years ago. He's better than that.
ward only tried to get stortz to make a decision on rosenthal's (re)appointment, he never said appoint or not - stortz's indecision will, ultimately cost the city big dollars in lawsuit settlements - get over the partisanship and realize the truth of the matter - rosenthal gets reappointed and saves the expensive lawsuit.
All you complainers on here I am sure you did not get out and vote!
It would be unwise for Mr. Ward to diss his own party by being unfair to Minor and McCauley especially if Cockayne is favored. Lord help us! Cockayne is arrogant enough!
Bristol is into Cockayne!

You're into Cockayne. PLEASE don't speak for the rest of us!
Hey Geldono:
What will you get from Artie if you become a democrat again (or don't)?
