I find it interesting that there have been many people changing their affiliation to make them eligible to vote in the primary. It will be interesting to see if those changes were made to vote someone out or voting someone in.

Ironic that you would use the word "debate", since that is exactly what Ward has been running away from these past few weeks. He can run from Zoppo but he can't hide from Johnson. Does he think is is going to fare any better against Ken, an experienced amateur actor and pretty intelligent guy?

Why is everyone crying about a debate between Ellen and Art?

When was the first and last time a debate won the election for someone? All these so called debates s/b called forums or joint press conferences.

Let ellen and Art go out an meet voters face to face. Do somthing they have never done before...Door to Door.

maybe they both will have a rude awakining and find out that the people of Bristol are not happy about thier uncontroled spending habits.

Democrats should vote for Ellen Zoppo for the simple fact that Art Ward is already on the ballot in November as an independant. You should't have it both ways. He also refuses to debate Ellen on the issues facing the city so we must vote based on what the candidates publish. I asked Mr. Ward last week, on his website, if he supported preservation of the Hoppers Birge Pond Nature Preserve I am still waiting for a response. A 3 way race will be good for the town so vote for Ellen and let Art be as independant as he claims to be.

Maybe they should have a debate on how Ward kept PW budget in tack with 4% and Ellen asks for 21% and still can't get it right! She can't manage nothing. How about her flyer - I was upset to see a city fire truck and firemen in uniform on her political flyer!! As if she cares about the fire stations.

Art Ward has the right to run for Mayor as an independant.

There is no law that says that the 12K Democrats in this town get to choose the Mayor.

We have 18K Republicans and Unaffilated in bristol and thier vocies should be heard as well.

This is a fine example of how the Democratic Party in this community has run rough shot over the political process.

They have the Zoppo belief that the primary is the general election. we need other voices on the City Council who are going to work for the city and not thier political careers.

Its time to throw the bums out.. The Republicans threw Stortz out!

Mr. Letourneau, I apologize but after review, I do not find any posting from you on my website.
Granted, this is new to me and I might be missing something but as of this time, I have not located any communication regarding your concern.
I believe that the Hoppers-Birge Pond area has, in fact, been designated as a Preservation area for the enjoyment of the community, thus it will always retain that identity.

I don't think Ellen is going to win. Look at everyone she has offended in just a few sort months:
Jay & Carol Meisinger and their large family; the people on Witches Rock that don't deserve better fire coverage; the hundreds of parents that don't want K-8 and were dismissed at the public hearing; and now it's Francine Petosa who has helped alot of people who go to the library and who also has a large family.

There are only so many democrats in this town. Somehow or another they all get connected through family, neighborhoods or friendships. Offend one person and you've offended at least a dozen.

Ellen does not care who she defends. Because she will look you in the eye and say, "Oh that is so & so trying to make me look bad."

Ellen - you make yourself look bad by the way you have treated people over the years. Its coming back to you full circle - ENJOY IT!
