Anyone out there who can help me add a widget?

This blog desperately needs a widget over there on the right side that lists, say, the last 5 to 10 comments posted so that someone can easily click on the most current comments.
I know there are widgets out there that can be added to do this for free. Can anyone who has a clue direct me to one that's reasonably simple to use?

At first I thought you were looking a midget!

Its "Little Person" please.

Steve, why don't you just have the computer whiz from the Press help you with this? That seems a no-brainer to me.

You mean you have to do all the writing AND the tech stuff to keep this thing running 24/7?
My god, man, they better appreciate you over there. I hope you get a big fat raise.

It's "it's," please. As in "it is."
It's a contraction. The only time you use an apostrophe in the word its is when it could be substituted for the words "it is." Otherwise, there is NEVER an apostrophe. Just doing what I can to help you poor old BHS grads. You're clever, some of you, but your grammar and spelling leaves something to be desired.

Hey Grammar Cop,

You said, "your grammar and spelling leaves something to be desired."

See anything wrong there?

There is a lack of agreement between subject and verb. The correct verb would be "leave" in order to agree with the compound subject.

Nice catch, Grammar Nut.

Nice catch, english warrior. I have to give you that one. But if you're such an English warrior, you ought to know that the word English is ALWAYS capitalized. Duh.
Love and kisses, Grammar Cop

Steve, it's not a widget that you need. You need the HTML code to place the recent comments in the sidebar.

From your dashboard click the HELP link in the upper right corner. Then click the link called HELP CENTER.

In the search box on the right type in quotes "recent comments"
This will bring up the link that will give you the HTML code you need.

The code is too long for me to give to you through this post. You will also need to read the directions that come with the code just to understand how it all works and what restrictions there are.

Hope this helps.

One more thing - a widget is part of a page layout format. Just thought I'd clarify.

I didn't realize the blog retains capitalizations in the name. They always appear lower case to me, thus my not using the shift key!

Pleasant dreams!

I believe "its" can also be possessive, calling for the apostrophe to appear AFTER the letter "s"(its').Is this correct?

Thank you, anonymous reader, for the help. Now I need to figure out how to make the comments list a little shorter & I think we'll be in much better shape than in the past.

Steve -without analyzing the actual HTML codes you used, I can only offer a general resolution.

Somewhere in the code you placed you need to put in >=[date]

This is to specify that the list should only hold the comments that were posted since a certain date. You may consider putting the tag in that is an automatic of "TODAY". That way the list will only hold links to the comments posted on that specific day.

Hard to explain. Let me see if I can write it out and send it to you.

Tim, are you a product of Bristol schools?

Here's one I'll bet you won't answer.Who wants to know?

Steve - I can't give you the code you need to specify the date. It will take Java Script to do it because of the variables. Not having the absolute HTML code you are using prevents me from being able to write the JAVA Script you need to shorten the list.

Sorry.
