Like she had a choice!? Maybe now she will have more time to go to charm school.

Ok so now the street fight is over. No more excuses, no more nonsense. Art if you want this Democrat's vote and the votes of all the other Democrat's that sat on their hands during this primary you need to tell us how you will lead this city and how you will address an enormous list of issues. Many of which you helped to create. That means participating in debates and other public forums. It means articulating with a coherent plan how we handle the Mall, a school plan that amounts to no plan and how you will manage the sizable debt service that will be facing this city left as a legacy of the Couture administration. The one where you were deputy mayor. No more running from your record. Any attempts at character assassination of Ken Johnson as your sole method of campaigning as it was with Ellen will convince me and many others that you are not competent for the job. We are watching. The free ride is over!

How does the DTC look now? Once again, they just didn't have their finger on the pulse. I think it is time for a clean sweep on the DTC including the leadership. They should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to MAYOR ART!!!!!! How do they repair this one? Resignations are in order.

How do you all feel about the Dem Council candidates who all supported Ellen?

Art campaigned like he had nothing to lose, because he didn't. He hedged his bets by filing to run as an Independent. Why should the DTC care about a guy who obviously doesn't care about the party?

Was a defeat in the script?

Its not about the party Dems, its about Bristol that's why you folks lost

That's right. This city doesn't revolve around the Bristol Democrats (like Ellen for one, thinks).

To the first poster:I am a Ward supporter and I have to say your "kicking someone when they are down" displays a complete lack of class and compassion.

This loss hasn't taught her anything. If it had, she would have gone to concede in person, not via phone to his house where she knew he wasn't home.

Still the same Ellen. Unprofessional and immature.

I agree Tim...Like Ellen or not she did dedicate her time and efforts to Bristol for six years..it could have easily been Artie as the odd man out tonight.

Ellen didn't concede. She threw her truck and walked away from the sandbox.

To concede it would have required calling Art on his cell or coming down to Nuchies herself.

She acted like a spoiled brat, again.
