Our new executive editor has been announced. I'm told James H. Smith is as impressive personally as his resume is in terms of experience. We are so lucky.

He's a journalist, not a politician.

He looks friendly, but should have buttoned his shirt and trimmed his eyebrows.
He is a liberals liberal. His tenure at the Meriden paper was pure left wing.
