Speeches by Barack Obama and John McCain last night

Both the winner and the loser of yesterday's presidential race were unusually eloquent last night. It's worth reading what they both had to say with some care.
Here is President-elect Barack Obama's address in Chicago:
And here is U.S. Sen. John McCain's speech in Phoenix.

I followed the results right up to the finish of speeches. Obama show such flare, charisma and confidence knowing that americans made the right choice electing him we as americans finally have hope for the future. YES WE CAN

Talk is cheap: what is proposed might be awful expensive.

11:52 you have a lot to learn about politically correct terminology. You also need to wake up are realize that it isn't the 60's anymore.

11:52 AM

Your words are offensive and disgusting. I'm just glad to see that a majority of Americans yesterday showed they are not like you!

Too bad the two of you don't share the same civility, class, vision and hope BOTH of these extraordinary men possess!

It's the saddest day in American history.

My American pride runneth over.

Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! Praise be to all that is righteous and Godly in this world.

It's time for us to roll up our sleeves and get to work!

Change has arrived. There is much to do!

Congratulations OBAMA & BIDEN and Blessed Be!

You've got to wear your muck boots to read some of this stuff...

Blessed be, you sound like a kook. What kind of "work" are you talking about, handing out more welfare entitlements? Get back on the floor and scrub.

Blessed Be: a greeting and blessing, in days of yore.

It is quite right for this day, of this you can be sure.

Blessed Be OBAMA and BIDEN, in every known way.

For wisdom returns to EARTH, on this blessed day.

ATHENA HAS SPOKEN...

Typical Obama voter.

I really don't understand all you negative ninnies,I can't and won't imagine what would happen to the future of the nation had mccain/palin won (thank god for smart voters that they didn't win), the only thing mccain had under his belt was the fact he was a POW, and a vet, SOOO what there are alot of those people around on the street and homeless, jobless and some are mentally impaired and obama will correct that situation.

Anonymous said...

Most of them won't want anything to do with that. He'd better skip the homeless and go on to stealing our retirements, creating his own civilian police force, throwing out the Constitution, closing the coal mines, lunching with terrorists, taking our guns away, causing unemployment, and creating a country that none of us will recognize. He's got a lot to do.

10:11 This is what would have happened to our nation if McCain/Palin had won: we would have remained a democracy, a country with a system of government that made us the strongest and most free nation on earth.

Now, it's Halloween, and you kids went out without your flashlights. You can't see what's out there, but you will feel it.

Good move, he's one of those who can't earn money on his own. He screws people out of it then pretends to protect the taxpayers. How's he going to protect them against him?

Anonymous said...

Can you say DEPRESSION boys and girls? We're screwed!

Steve,

Why do you allow these racist comments to be posted?

I really don't appreciate our city being dragged down by giving others the impression that these ignorant few, are representative of, or speak for the average Bristol citizen.

some are mentally impaired and obama will correct that situation.

Negro is a Racist Term. Just like the Redskins football team is offensive. Also, what about the Notre Dame Fightin Irish? huh...huh.. .....oh wait the Irish are white sooooo.....nevermind

Anonymous said...

You won't recognized america that we are use to?Because of the last 8ys nobody recognized how bad the republicans demolished it! thats the recognition your talking about, you sound like your bias!!!!

Demolished? I don't think so. When I went to a restaurant for breakfast this morning, there was a line for tables. Then I went to the store and there was a long line there too. Starbucks had a long wait, as it did yesterday after I waited for some one to help me at the jeweler's.

And come to think of it, none of these customers were ducking bombs or dodging bullets while waiting in line. So they were safely whiling away their free time spending money. Sorry but it doesn't look like Bush did such a bad job.

The NAACP uses "Colored." So what? The word that is politically correct one day is incorrect the next. How many terms have we gone through for "mentally challenged"? The Political Correctness Police have way too much time on their hands.
Just think how much better things would be if they concentrated their efforts on finding a cure for cancer, feeding the hungry, or helping single parents.
