The broker handling the sale of The Bristol Press, The New Britain Herald and 11 Imprint weeklies in Central Connecticut is:
Dirks, Van Essen & Murray
119 East Marcy Street
Suite 100
Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501
Phone Number: (505)820-2700
Fax Number: (505)820-2900
It is possible to buy the Press separately from all the others.
When I learn more about the asking price and any other relevant information, I'll post it here. If anybody learns something that can be shared, by all means, tell. I'm not much for secrets.

Does the fact that there's at least a broker to speak of bode well for the next 60 days?
I wonder if at the very least, the city or some group can buy the rights to the name - so that if the paper can be resurrected in the future, we can still have the name and the lineage in tact.
(Kind of like how the city of Cleveland kept the name "Browns" and when they were awarded an expansion franchise they named it the Browns..essentially bringing the "Franchise" back from the dead).
Why would we name the resurected paper "The Browns?"
Steve, I like the new header. Could this be the start of the new online local news source I suggested?
I'm skeptical about making a living doing a blog.
