Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope that all of you -- even the guys who think I'm a jerk or a coward, or both -- have a nice Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for, including the chance to live in this wonderful country. We are so blessed.

I think it's funny that you ripped off Lapore's newspaper's title, especially after the Press basically mocked it's demise.

I'm surprised no one else has commented on this. It just shows that most the the posters here (not including me of course) are insignificant newbies with no solid grasp on important events in Bristol.

And happy Thanksgiving to you to.

Steve, Jackie,

A Happy Thanksgiving to you too.

10:12 - For many years, bristoltoday.com pointed readers to The Tattoo. But as The Tattoo grew ever more international in scope, it seemed foolish to leave the URL pointing to it so I switched it here, because it makes sense and it's easier to remember than the blogspot URL.
I knew Dave pretty well and always admired both his love for his hometown and his love for writing.

Steve,
I don't know what you're talking about. The Bristol Today ((Dave Lapore's paper) was gone and Dave had passed away before this blog even started.

--Bill I always knew you were a Republican hater at heart.

For many years before this blog started, bristoltoday.com directed readers to The Tattoo's website. I recently changed it to point readers here instead, because it made more sense.

Steve & Jackie,

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you both for all you do for Bristol. We may not always agree on the issues but at least you provide us with a place for us to state our opinions. As for all the naysayers, what will you do if there is no longer a blog to post on?

Again, my best to you and your family.

Glad to see you really have the spirit.

Also. you apparently don't have a sense of humor: I picked up on Sortz's humor. and most others probably did too.

Hey CON CON

Why don't you get on the Republican town committee where you can do some good?

And a very Happy Thanksgiving to you both and your family!

Dave Lepore's "Bristol Today" stunk. Even though Lepore used his freelance time at the Press to promote himself and then turned around and trashed The Press in "Bristol Today," the Press didn't retaliate. That showed real class.
So thank you, Steve, for taking the high road and offering us a "Bristol Today" with something worthwhile to read.
RIP Dave Lepore.

Captain Smith: You don't get my sense of humor either apparently. I couldn't care less who Stortz hates or likes. I just don't see how/why Stortz is trying to put himself in same group as Collins, except perhaps they are both turkeys (ok...ha ha).

November 27, 2008 3:35 PM: I used to refer to Lapore's paper as "Bristol Last Week". But I thought it was OK though with some nice local coverage albeit it was a weekly so the news wasn't always too fresh. The point is Collins is using the same title "Bristol Today". Couldn't he (Collins) think of something original?

And the Press didn't retaliate only not to give publicity to a competetor. "Class" isn't high on the Press' list of priorities (in my opinion). And how can you say RIP to Lepore ans say his paper stunk? You're the epitome
of NO class.

No more talk about Dave Lepore or his paper here. Let's just give some thought to his achievements and let him rest in peace.

Is everyone as full as I am? And Christmas is only 25 days away!

Monday morning it's lowfat yogurt and 1/2 banana!
