Bristol's election results

Here are the numbers for each party in each precinct, in PDF format. They are not the final tallies because some or all of the absentee ballots are not included, but they're close.
Eventually, I'll get the final results online for anyone who's particularly politically obsessed.

any news on the state wide results of the constitutional convention question?

Steve Collins said...

Statewide, people voted against the constitutional convention by about a 60-40 margin.

Are these results correct? Did Visconti really win Bristol? That has to be a misprint or I am reading them wrong.

Visconti beat Larson in Bristol?

Steve Collins said...

Well, if those numbers are right, Visconti won in Bristol, which doesn't seem possible.
I think there's something wrong with the numbers.
I know, for instance, that Larson clobbered him at Edgewood School because I was there to get the numbers directly.
I'll check on it, though.

Hello Steven .

In case anyone is wondering .... these numbers are irrelevent until approved by the secretary of state in a month or two ...

I do NOT mean to indicate once reviewed by the secretary of state that they will be more accurate than what you have posted , but , they will be the ones that matter .

In case anyone is interested , when the results become "official" @ the secretary of states' office , you will NOT find the press / media present .

Anytime I personally attended the release of the 'official' counts , the words shock and awe would best describe the looks on the faces of the officials .

It is interesting that question #4 failed.

I wonder why people voted against the 4 year term for the asst. town clerk and removal of gender specific references?

Thank god the people aren't stupid enough to elect Dumb-ski, although Colapietro's consitent election doesn't bode well for the intelligence of the electorate.

It could be possible that with the controversy surrounding the COO that any charter revision was going to go down in flames.

1st Congressional race was 15821 for Larson vs. 6486 Visconti. Not sure where you got your numbers from Steve, but these are right from City hall.

Thanks, anon.
The sheets I put up were given to the Press last night by the city clerk's office.
But let's all understand that the clerk's office was under stress, trying to deal with a ton of numbers very fast and trying, too, to accommodate the requests from the media, politicians and others for results.
Sometimes, things get messed up in that initial rush. Lord knows it happens to me on deadline on occasion so I can sympathize.

For like the COO issue, the Charter Revision Committee failed miserably to inform and educate the people.

Thank you Tim Furey!

I don't think most voters understood question 4 regarding the City Clerk and gender references.

I know I didn't understand the question. It should have been worded differently or it should have been publicized so the voters knew what to expect. I didn't even know it was going to be on the ballot.
