coffee and donuts? oh boy.
What a great event!
At least the Republicans have the tact not to host an event in a venue that offends some people.
a closet isn't a venue
A closet? What are you insinuating? Are you calling a Democrat or a Republican out on something?
Steve, I thought you had more class than to allow that to be posted. The conversation can only go down hill from here if there are responses to that.
obviously the closet reference has to do with the tiny anonymous location of Republican HQ
get over it, nothing was meant as you are interpreting it to be - meaning was that no one will show up as long as we have moccabee running the show.
Actually the "closet" is where the Dumb-o-crats are. They are in an office space at the Elks Club. Since the Elks Club bars political discussion, they will only have use of the facility only as an office. There will be no signage as what normally the norm for a political HQ.
The Republicans however have a nice, visable office right on Riverside Ave. That location is rented out and singage will be displayed as is also the case at Art Ward's HQ on Main St.
The case being that the Democrats in their haste forgot to read BPOE by-laws and they rented out an inapproriate location for their HQ. I believe this reflects the bumbling that surely will be the norm if the Democrats gain control of the mayoral office and if the Republicans don't gain more council seats.
See you there!
another of zoppo's TEAM decisions. It has been said that letters of protest have been sent to the national elk's headquarters complaining about this arrangement and the perception that democratic city council candidate cliff block abused his office as a trustee of the lodge in acquiring this rented second floor space as the headquarters for ellen/the democratic party.
Not just Cliff Block but Treasurer candidate Bill Veits too. They both abused their positions in the Elks to get this location at a cheap rate. They are both at risk of having their memberships revolked.
that would be too bad because they have both been active for a long time but putting the organization in the ellen's political camp is against the national by-laws.
if ellen or the democrats had any decency, they would have looked elsewhere once they found out that the issue was going to be controversial but that's not ellen's way.
Because its her way or the highway!
