Hamzy for AG?

There's only one city lawmaker who would have much of a shot at securing his party's backing for a statewide run: Bill Hamzy, a Plymouth Republican whose 78th District includes Bristol.
Hamzy is a lawyer, a former state GOP chairman and one of the handful of legislators trusted enough by both sides of the aisle to serve on the panel probing the impeachment of former Gov. John Rowland.
He's also level-headed and not obsessed with power so I have no idea if he'd even think about running. But he could.
The attorney general's position is the obvious possibility because it offers so much opportunity to shape policy.
I could be wrong, but I suspect Hamzy's given it at least a little thought in the past 24 hours.
Of course, he'll probably call in a few minutes to tell me there is no way. But you never know.

Go for it Hamzy, then Zoppo can run for State Represenative.

Not gonna happen. No guts!

It would be good for the state, but maybe not good for Hamzy.

No, Zoppo will be convinced to step aside so that TJ can run for the house.

Already in the works

Shame on you for putting up a bunch of empty stories like this baseless rumor on Hamzy, or the stupid story about Rosenthal and Ward's buffoonery at the Armory, or doing a big writeup every time some veteran goes for a walk or sneezes, yet not posting anything about the passing of Rev. Bill Whitehead.

Or his constituents

He won't run then he would have to do something!

People outside of Bristol/Plymouth don't care that Bill Hamzy once played a good basketball game as a kid.

Alex you would be honored to stand up for Hamzy for anything. We already know you love Bill. Maybe cause he's the only one that will have anything to do with a useless wannabe.

I do like Bill. Love is an exageration though.

But I haven't posted here. So don't use my name unless you know who or what you're talking about. There is nothing on this thread that equals the caliber of my writing or thought process albeit I agree with those who think a conservative like Bill would much be better than a grand-standing, ultra-liberal activist (for either personal or idealogical reasons TBD like our current AG).

Thanks.

I believe Bill Hamzy voted for the governors bill cutting 3% from the municipalities budget therefore costing the taxpayers more. Thank god the democrats didn't do it.

12:10 - don't let the mirrors in your house cloud up the blurred vision of your superiority - you pomous, pitiful, pathetic puss.
