It looks good politically to have your photo taken standing next to a United States Senator, but Mayor Ward does a disservice to himself by doing so.
Read Charlie Gasparino's new book, Sellout, and you will readily see that Dodd and Barney Frank had as much to do with the financial meltdown as any Wall Street investment bank or banker.
It pains my being to know that both of them will still get reelected. At least most of the "Fat Cat" bankers are out of a job, albeit, still very wealthy.
ward has a responsibility to render respect to all elected officials, especially people such as the governor, state officers, congressional members, senators and the president; regardless of political party or political views. He represents all of us, not just the democrats or only those he chooses.
And Ward is significantly responsible for the dire situation Bristol is in for not having done anything since he took office and after he was given a heads up.
7:07 PM, The recession is responsible for the "dire situation" around the entire country. Bristol is actually much better off than some places. Ward inherited plenty of headaches from previous administrations and he's managed to keep Bristol moving forward. Please find something else to whine about.
Ward is doing as well as he is because of the largesse that was left to him by previous administrations. He has done NOTHING to cope with the situation orher than to mislead the people, supported by his hack friends, Klocko and Rosenthal.
We'd be alot further along if Ward hadn't played games for his own benefit!

Especially his own!
Great picture in the Press: two losers, Dodd and Ward!
The senator offered an array of ideas for lending a hand, from making more loan money available to small business .....
Hey pal .... Not everyone has the contacts w/ the loan companies that you do .
I hope they come in handy when you're looking for your next career .
