Finance board appointee

Going through old notes before I threw out notebooks full of dated slop, I found a few things that should have been reported last fall.
One of them is that Cheryl Thibault, the business manager at Covanta, was tapped by the City Council to fill the Board of Finance seat vacated by Dolores Capers.
Thibault's been on the job for a few months already and doesn't appear to regret taking the volunteer position.
Of course, she hasn't had to sit through budget hearings yet.

Another good appointment by Stortz

What a joke... Stortz appointed a fairly liberal spender to this board. This could have been one last appointment to cement his legacy with Bristol, and to put on another fiscal conservative to replace the outgoing one. Instead, this is who we get.

What a shame.

.....the shame is that a person has stepped up and volunteered her time, her effort and her love for this community and is subjected to the ridiculous, unsubstantiated barbs from jerks like you who, I will guarantee, don't know this person nor have an inkling of her involvement and devotion to this community, fails to recognize the FREE time and committment expended to the City of Bristol and has probably formed a butt-shaped curvature in their computer seat.
only you know how useless that you are - my suggestion is that you don't share it with the public, we might recognize you.
