Bristol's comptroller, Glenn Klocko, pronounced it "crazy" last night and he's exactly right.
State leaders, on both sides of the political aisle, are destroying Connecticut's credit rating by shoving tough decisions down the road in the vain hope that something better will somehow happen.
Klocko said that when he watches what the state is doing, "it really frightens me."I don't profess to have the answers, but I do know that when you're faced with hard decisions, it's a lot better to try to deal with them honestly. The state is just shoving the bills into a box and hoping creditors won't come calling. It never works.
