Carpenter's very own tea party

Developer George Carpenter's tea party protest last week -- when he lined North Main Street with construction trucks -- was prompted by a series of complaints with City Hall.
He told me this morning that his grievances include the treatment of downtown restaurants, parking woes, the decision to put a new school on Chippens Hill instead of downtown and more. You can read about it in tomorrow's Press.
In the meantime, anybody got a photograph of the protest that we could run in the paper? I'd love to see what it looked like.

hmmmm .... The press offices are located on Main street and you are looking for someone that might have recorded an event just outside your windows .

Keep up the good work steve .

As far as the school goes George Carpenter is 100% correct.

Thank you George Carpenter and thank you to the Carpenter family especially the patriarch, the late great Spartacus Carpenter...an icon of Bristol.

Unfortunately on many levels, I was at a family funeral. So was my wife. That's half our small staff right there.
And our photographer, who can't work all the time, did not come in until the protest was over.
That's the breaks sometimes.
Is there some reason you are so consistently a jerk?

I recognize the FACT that you and I will likely never be on the same side of an issue . I have a very different view of the future of America , yet , I do make an effort to respect the idiotic and benal thoughts of those with opposing views . Name calling appears to be prevelent when liberals have difficulty dealing with facts .

George doesn't own a single restaurant in downtown yet he's become the voice of the restaurant owners. give me a break! this is a capitalist country the last time I checked, although we are becoming socialist by the minute. if you want people at your establishment, then give them something they will want and get it to them quick. ken's grill and the others have been there a very, very long time and were there when centre pizza was there way back when and there were no complaints then. why the problem now? i think the problem lies with your restaurant not the competition.
