Rockwell Park overhaul nearly finished

Photo: Mike Orazzi/ The Bristol Press
Though it's a little hard to figure out just what's going on at the old lagoon right now, the final part of the historic park's renovation is almost complete. By mid-summer, it'll all be over, on time and within budget. Here's the story.

Why wasn't Couture and Zoppo given the credit they deserve?

Oddly, I don't consider it my job to dole out credit.
But if you read the story I wrote on Rockwell Park last fall, which is no doubt on this blog somewhere, I think their role comes through loud and clear.

Steve,

I understand your role (sometimes), but where were Ward and Swiklas???

2:37 - 'cause "wasn't" wasn't the proper word anhow, dunce. besides, are you forgetting that ward was the co-chair of the project and a committee decided the actions, not 2 or 3 people.

8:40 Guess you weren't there to see who did the heavy lifting, or if you are Mr. Ward, you didn't notice.

2:37/6:49, Maybe we should list EVERYONE who's ever done a thing to improve Rockwell Park? Alphabetical? Chronological? Would that do it for you?

We're not in third grade anymore. Zoppo and Couture can pat themselves on the back if they need patting so badly.

I can't wait to see it all finished. There is nothing better than seeing the Parks full of people. Great job done by the Parks Revitalization Committee. As who did the heavy lifting on the committee ... check the minutes, there will be no surprises.

Ward will take the credit - however he did nothing, this was in the works for years. Hopefully the PR's & Mexicans won't vandilize it.

8:45am - Park Board is the one that had to reel Zoppo in - she wanted fake grass at Muzzy- remember?

7:33 PM, I'm no psychiatrist, but you've definitely got a personal problem. Instead of venting at Ward, "PR's and Mexicans," why don't you seek professional help? Sounds like you sure could use some.

Zoppo allowed the dialogue about fake grass - Dave Mills is the one who wanted it. I love how people twist reality on this blog.
