We need another pharmacy and a gas station over there.

I think we need more dollar stores or maybe a grocery store.

I think we should use taxpayer money to tear down taxpaying businesses, so that what was once a tax-generating site becomes an overgrown vacant lot.

Whoops, we already did that.

Great central location for a new k to 8 school.

Let talk for real.... It is easier to sell three 5 acre lots then one 17 acre site. etend Laurel st to were N.Main used to end on main St. Use the riverside entrance as a road connected to the new extended laurel st. I am pretty sure people like zip, carpenter ect will buy a few lots...hell maybe I will...

Just climbing out on a limb here but this is insane why...?

1. Rosenthal, who makes 96K a year, and the BDDA and the tons of money that has been spent on "consultants" has failed miserably in their jobs to attract anything that would remotely resemble generating revenue. This includes our MAyor and city council.
2. Government went wayout of bounds when it decided that purchasing this site was in the best interest of the tax-payers.
3.Numerous deals have fallen short because of the ineptness of this city and those that are responsible for the revitilazation of downtown.
So can we look the city in the eye and say "OK, We will take on this challenge of doing YOUR JOBS if you stop collecting pay. IT is absolute absurdity on the city's part.
Oh by the way... How did Plainville and Southington manage to rebuild their towns while we stand around and watch tumbleweeds blow around. Effective leadership and management. Imagine that.

CANT BUILD ANYTHING WITH CITY HALL OFFICIALS TRYING TO HINDER EVERY STEP YOU TAKE START WITH THE BOTTOM FLOOR.

Note to 5:31 PM: both Plainville and Southington operate with a Town Manager-Council form of government rather than with a Mayor-Council form of government. Coincidence??

Note to 8:40 PM: Both Plainville and Southington have a major thoroughfare running through them with easy access to 84. Coincidence??

I say we should stick with the current city plan of lighting the missle test site so anyone passing by will be reminded of the citys' efforts on their behalf .
