Mayor Art Ward said he's tentatively scheduled a City Council special meeting for 5 p.m. Monday to consider his choice to fill a Board of Finance seat that Republican Don Soucy has held in recent years.
I'm not yet sure who Ward plans to nominate.

Thank God for Art Ward and Special Meetings!
Another SPECIAL City Council meeting.
Didn't Ward complain about them when he was a councilman?
It's different now that he is in charge. LOL!
I bet you its that moron Bob Dunlap - another member of the Mayor's very very small in mind and small in size inner circle.
TOm Dunlap!!
Dunlap...the accountant who could not account, the guy who paid a fine in Wards campaign because he could not do the filings correctly...give me a brake.
The mayor would not be that stupid to name a former brd member who didn't have much support from the last council, and that royally messed up the campaign finances. Too much buddy-ism (if thats a word).
OMG - he wouldn't bring up that name!!!!!!!
I wish all his appointments were somewhere in one place to look at 'cuz I think as a group, they have been a pretty sad-looking group.
All of this reminds me of a book I read some time ago by Bernie Goldberg, former NBC newsman. His book was entitled ARROGANCE. There was a quip within the book where he told a story about some arrogant socialite who he overheard at a party stating that she was absolutely astonished that Richard Nixon defeated George McGovern in the 1972 election because all of her "friends" vote for George.
Goldberg's response to her was "do you ever speak to anyone other than your friends?"
Mayor Ward seems to be surrounding himself only with those that agree with him. That is a sure sign of a one-term mayor. This is quite sad. He had all of the Karma lined up for being Mayor as long as he desired. Not so, now.
How come you phony do gooders don't bring up Kraweicki's ethics fine? Forget or just delibertly ignoring it? I think it was the largest of it's time. $6000.00?

They are listed in monthly minutes (and SPECIAL City Council minutes)and in books in the City clerks office.
Minutes should be on line.
Too bad the media doesn't report them when they are approved.
this forum definately continues to live up to it's reputation as " the guaranteed place for negative, arrogant hinderance of anything positive."
Too bad the media doesn't report that meeting minutes are available? What exactly would you want me to report? That you can go the city clerk's site and read old meeting minutes?
This is the link to the City Council website where the agendas and minutes are posted:

The June minutes aren't up yet, probably because the City Council hasn't approved them yet.
Steve, the media used to report on who was appointed, especially key appointments.
Any new names on the table?
Word on the street, and God I hope I am wrong, is that the mayor is in fact putting up Dunlap's name. Its absolutely amazing. What's even more amazing is that again he is nominating a name without first running it by the Council and guess what - he doesn't look like he has the votes. I guess arrogance is the word of the day.
Its too bad this blog item is not buried under all those other articles because I think people would be posting more if they knew it was here.
I nominate Ellen Zoppo.
Guess committment doesn't mean much to Dunlop!
Why don't you "holier than thou" clowns talk about Krawiecki's fine when he was in the Legislature? The largest ever at that time? C'mon guys your biases are showing again !!!!
