West Bristol School Committee meets at 8 a.m. Wednesday

The West Bristol School Building Committee is meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Little League complex on Mix Street to try again, this time legally, to pick two names to recommend to the City Council to fill vacancies.
The last time it met, without proper legal posting, its members urged the appointment of former city Councilor Ellen Zoppo and the Republican's unsuccessful mayoral candidate, Ken Johnson.
If anyone goes to the meeting, let me know who they pick. I'm off Wednesday.

Well, holding the meeting at 8 am at the Little League Complex on the outskirts of town? At least it will be convenient for Mr. Soucy to attend the meeting.

Re: 10:53 Post

Thank you so much for your expression of Holiday spirit. Merry Christmas to you.

So much for keeping it professional.

Your post would have been so much stronger if you had just left out the "What a bunch of jerks" comment and better yet suggested a time you feel would have garned more people to attend.

A meeting as important as this at 8am? I don't get it. I would have been there with my list of questions but, come on! who picks these times?
It is now 8:06am and dropping my daughter off in 10 minutes is more important then this nominating committee.
steve thanks for pointing out the correct room last night and merry christmas to those who find it easier to read this blog then to find bristolpress.com!

8:00 AM is not my most favorite time of day. I would have preferred mid-morning, mid-afternoon, mid-evening, midnight, anything but 8:00 AM.

I respectfully suggest that whatever time is chosen, someone would have an issue with it. So far, 3 individuals have complained, some rationally and some (not).

The more important question is which two names did the nominating committee decide?

Well, what happened? Did they make any choices? Did anyone show up?

Hey, Maureen Carter and Al Chinchetti and Michaud ... are you guys going to show up? You made a hell of a stink during the elections about the schools and doing what's right and all that other t.v. camera grabbing stuff. Now put your money where your mouth is! If you truly care, you'll be at that meeting. You're all retired so there's no excuses. Let's see if you were really concerned about the children when you attempted to berate the council on the schools issue during the last few months of the previous administration. I'm guessing not one of you will show up.
