Preliminary ruling on "scripted meeting' FOI complaint

The state Freedom of Information Commission will decide Wednesday whether or not it agrees with the preliminary decision of its hearing officer in the FOI case brought against the city and former city Councilor Ellen Zoppo by resident Jay Meisinger.
The preliminary decision, which favors the city, can be downloaded here:

Probably the easiest way for most people to read the documents is to print them or download them and view them with a picture viewing program.
The FOI Commission will likely make its decision at a 2 p.m. Wednesday meeting. Most of the time, it backs preliminary rulings.

Of course it favored the city since the complaint was not intended as a FOI complaint, but as a targeted political attack by the WARD campaign and which was, in the end, effective and successful. So, regardlesss of what happens at the FOI Commission, the goals have been reached.

Absolutely true. Good political strategy and make Art the outcast victim against the rest of the Council who were up to no good, as opposed to the cranky old guy sitting on the end who never put FOR WARD a new policy or iniative in the entire decade he was on the City Council.
