Democrats: Why not at the Elks or the Legion Hall?

They have bigger antlers?

Ward will try and stack his committee.

Mocabee will stack his committee.

We will have two more years of our politics sliding downhill.

Doesn't look good for Bristol.

so make a New Years resolution for 2008, get off your backside and become a part of deciding the course of action or is 2008 going to be interpreted to be like 2007 - someone else's fault?

Please tell me the GOP will be smart this year and get rid of Mocabee. They need new blood if they want to be taken seriously.

I'm a little confused.

When you want to vote for someone to serve on a town committee, so you vote by council district (1-2-3) or by state district (77, 78, etc)

I'm sure the political insiders will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that council districts are what they use for the town committee picks.

Steve's got it right... Party members from each council district meet in caucus to elect their membership. Any registered party member can attend the caucus and nominate themselves for election to the town committee, a vote of all those present is taken, and a simple majority is necessary to win a seat.

I'm interested in what the rumor mill is churning out about district and citywide changes come March.... I'm sure the enlightened bloggers and consipiracy buffs can share their knowledge here.

What do you mean "changes come march"? I thought the votes were in January? What are you anticipating in March?

The newly chosen town committees elect their leaders in March.

Hope the republicans go with someone who knows how to win.. and has won.

STEVE - watch this carefully tomorrow night. Rumor has it that there is a team that has been working hard to knock Doyle out. Glad it isn't my party!

STEVE do you and Jackie plan on covering any of the town committee elections tonight? Rumor has it that both sides of the fence are looking at some upsets.

What were the GOP results from last night?

Well, Doyle did not get knocked out nor did she get "dumped".

Somebody miscalculated her strength and respect from people in her precinct.
