Earlier starting times for City Council?

Mayor Art Ward said he plans to ask the Ordinance Committee to consider revising the starting times for the monthly City Council and Joint Board meetings so they won't run as late.
Ward said that instead of holding the joint session of the council and Board of Finance at 7:15, he would like to see the meeting begin at 6:45, with the council meeting to follow at 7 p.m.
That would move everything up by half an hour, hopefully allowing officials to finish up their business before it gets too late.
Sounds good to me.

This is a great idea! Would even like to see it as early as 6pm!

Yeah so only the old farts and the union people could go.
But 7 PM sounds good.

Doesn't Artie have anything more important to do?

Its good to see Mayor Ward picking up good ideas proposed by others - this has been in Ordinance Committee since last summer. More changes to how they do business should happen as well. The current sustem is antiqueted.

To 7:50pm poster - good point about picking up good ideas proposed by others (we won't say her name) but duh, did you expect any original ideas after 14 years of not getting any from Ward when he was on the Council? Puleeze.
