There's another Federal Hill Association forum on Wednesday, beginning with the 1st District City Council candidates at 6 p.m.
At 8 p.m. is the mayoral showdown.
So why should anyone go hear the candidates?
"For openers, they've got a brand new guy running for mayor," said Tim Gamache, the organizer, and it's a chance to see and hear him.
Either of them would be a freshman mayor, he pointed out, and will have a big influence.
"I'm going to want to know what they have in mind, what they plan on doing if they get elected," Gamache said. "And what their long range vision is for this city."

Art Ward is threatening to go to the Red Sox game instead of the forum. You couldn't blame him.
In fact, perhaps Ken Johnson will join him there.
Then we could all curse them both.
Not at all surprising. Artie boy has promised the world to the contractors in town, a set of red Sox tickets would not be hard to come by.
Go Red Sox!
Steve, you could go along with Artie and Ken and blog from the game. If you drove, they could each have a few and it could get kinda interesting... think the Press would let you put it on your expense account?
Steve,
It's time the Press called for a forum with the board of ed candidates. Enough is enough. They need to speak up and NOW!!!
If you can't hold a forum, as them questions directly, because this silence is not fair to the citizens of this city. The council is getting blamed for their decision making. It's time they were held accountable for their actions.
Steve: Have to agree that this silence by the BOE is totally unfair to voters. How do those candidates running for the FIRST time expect anyone to know their views on this issue?Would you know if Press is seeking them out for interviews?
The BOE is keeping silent, because they don't want to jeopardize their chance of losing the election by speaking out. I think by not saying anything they are jeopardizing their chances; especially those that are presently on the BOE and conceived the idea in the first place. In this case silence is not golden! There should be a collective call from all affilliations for the BOE candidates to give their views.
