2nd District Live, Part 3

Did you see Sunday's front page? There was Democratic mayoral candidate Art Ward in the middle of a bullseye, his face dripping from a gooey pie thrown by none other than Tim Gamache, the very man who is putting this forum together.
I just told him that this forum would be better if he threw a pie in the face of whichever candidate gives the worst answer. That would perk this up substantially.
Anyway, now we're on to audience questions.
Q: How are you different than the rest?
Joe Geladino said he's no politician. Kevin McCauley says he's in his first term in a part-time job. Even in 14 years, he said, he wouldn't be a career politician. He says there is a lot to learn.
"I look for better ways to communicate," McCauley said. "We need to show people we are open government."
Bruce Lydem said that "not much" separates him from the incumbents except he's in construction industry.
"The way the whole thing has been run, it should start over again," said Mark Blaschke. He said he's concerned about the people. "We can do better, believe me."
Ken Cockayne, closing it out, says he's "a taxpaying citizen who got fed up with the partisan poltiics and getting nothing done here in town. I will work across party lines."
He said he has no ties to police, fire or any city employees so he can act on own. "I owe nothing to noone," Cockayne said.
Who gets the pie in the face? That's not for me to say.

Republicans deserve the pie in the face, no vision.

Forget the pie. How about barf bags for those of us, and you, Steve, who have to suffer these remarks?
