Architect of JRC dies


From a company press release:

Robert M. Jelenic, 58, former chairman and chief executive officer of Journal Register Co., publisher of The Bristol Press, died Wednesday night in Pennsylvania after a long bout with cancer.

Jelenic was the architect and driving force behind JRC before stepping down in November of 2007 after 20 years with the Yardley, Pennsylvania -based corporation.

Some architect. Demolitionist is more like it. What a terrible legacy he left, getting filthy rich while wrecking as many newspapers as he could. Shame on him.

He has destroyed a great deal more than he has created. You can pray for him if you like but I ask you to also to pray for the poor hardworking employees still working for Journal Register Company.
