Blaschke apologizes

Former City Council candidate Mark Blaschke this week took the public comment period of a council meeting to issue an apology.
Blaschke said he owed Republican Councilor Ken Cockayne and his family an apology for a rambling, threatening phone message last month.
"I should have used more common sense and restraint," Blaschke said.
He apologized to Mayor Art Ward and the council as well for the time and trouble surrounding the incident.
"Apology accepted," Cockayne answered. "It's in the past. Forget about it."

Thank you Mark Blaschke for clearing this up.

Now the Democrat activists and blog opinionists owe Cockayne an apology for their nasty comments regarding this matter.

Much ado about diddlysquat. Yawn!

Clash of the titans? I think not!

My compliments to Blashke: it takes a man to do that.

And Ken handled it well.

If he was a man he would not have left the message in the first place.

This whole thing is the equivalent of a head on collision between two matchbox cars.

Mark apologized - blah, blah, blah.

Kenny accepted it – blah, blah, bleg

Who cares???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Ha ....you first !!

Why the City Council consistently entertains these off balance public comments is beyond me.

Clash of the titans? Who in their right mind would even find that funny? This guy isn't a punk nor is it worth mocking him. He apologized because he thought he had to, and I hope he feels better for it.

Cockayne was probably a little over-board but it sends a message to people who might take things like this a step farther. There will be implications (arrests).

When will Ken Cocayne apologize to the people for all of his rude remarks ever since he got into office?

At least you loudmouth critics know who he is. That makes him better than you chickens.

10:29 - if cockayne ever attempted to apologize for every negative remark that he said about people or projects, he would end up being tongue-tied....mmmmmm, maybe not a bad thought afterall....

Poster 10:29

What rude remarks are you talking about? Are you talking about the one where he said he unions are holding the city hostage? Or perhaps the one when he put out the actual cost of copays and costs to the city for benefits? Or maybe it was him not backing down to all you union hacks and not being beholden to the unions as some on the council are!

Lets face it, your pissed because you don't have his vote in your pocket as do you with some of the others!!

Cockayne for Mayor 09!!

Yeah right you phony 9:19 Go Cockayne as far away as possible.

maybe blashke and cockayne can join forces for the next election - we'll be getting rid of mccauly and be ahead of the game with (2) two known do-nothings....

I'll take Blsachke over you ghosts any day. At least he has what you don't and that is he's man enough to admit when he feels he's wrong.Unlike you voices in the wind. When you blow all you blow is hot air. You are the true meaning of real cowards.

an up and coming before Blaschke
