Mum Parade route change this year

Because of road construction on East Road and Wolcott Street, the parade route this year will be to head south on North Main St., then proceed onto Church Street, take a left on South Street, take another left on East Street and then turn back toward downtown on Memorial Boulevard. It ends on Main Street.
The parade begins at 1:30 on Sunday, Sept. 28. Outgoing chamber honcho John Leone is the parade marshal and Olympic silver medalist Michelle Guerette is the honorary parade marshal.
For more information on the parade and whole Mum Festival, check out its website here.

How many people are not going to know about the change in the parade route? ALOT! It's going to be chaos.

"Choices" and Wah Lung are filing a complaint as we speak.

5:44 PM, Not everyone gets the paper and not everyone lives here in Bristol. I was just making a comment. No need for your wise-acre one.

9:42 - whether you like it or not, the cops have dictated the route for safety's sake so get a subject where your blabbing can at least make some sense - yeah, right.

Frank Johnson wanted it changed.

Sounds like the city leaders want to pretend the west end corner (as it is now) doesn't exist.

7:39p.m. - if you took your head off of the pillow before 7:39p.m., you might have read that the reason for the parade route change is the construction on East Road/Rte. 69 - it has nothing to do with the West End - of course it sounds as though you have nothing positive to do with the West End either....

You are right on the money.

Ward says he can't do anything, it is too expensive.

Yup, Forward with Ward!
