AFL-CIO backs Wright in 77th

Press release from state House contender Chris Wright, a Democrat in the 77th District:

CHRIS WRIGHT GAINS MORE ENDORSEMENTS FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE
STATE AFL-CIO AND STATE SOCIAL WORKERS BACK WRIGHT

Chris Wright, the Democratic candidate for State Representative in Bristol’s 77th Assembly District, has gained more support for his election bid to the General Assembly.
Wright has been endorsed by the Connecticut AFL-CIO in an announcement made by President John Olsen and Secretary-Treasurer Lori Pelletier.
In making the announcement Olsen said, “The rights of all workers in Connecticut to organize is the number one issue for the upcoming legislative session and we look forward to working with Chris on this issue.”
Wright received another endorsement from the Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. Connecticut Chapter’s Chair, Mary Jane Lundgren, told Wright “All our members will be notified of our endorsement and we look forward to working with you.”
“I am pleased and encouraged by these most recent endorsements,” Wright said. “Working people are struggling today and I understand the need to fight for jobs, honest wages and affordable health care.”
“These organizations have been battling in the trenches to improve the lives of people and I look forward to working with them,” Wright said.
Wright was endorsed earlier in the campaign by Council 4, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union representing 35,000 state employees, including many Bristol workers.

Is anyone surprised by this?

What is really interesting is that the son of Gardner Wright (a moderate Democrat with somewhat fiscally conservative tendencies) would be carrying the union banner so strongly.

Wow!!!

How about your own Jill Fitzgerald? Who's banner is she carrying? Your hypocrisy is showing STILL.

This guy is a loser anyway. But accepting the kiss of death from the unions makes it a sure thing. He is now firmly in the control of the unions. Hack Olsen brainwashes another politician. It is time to elect represntatives to the State House who will represent taxpayers and not special interests. This jerk Olsen is too busy corupting politicians instead of doing something meaningful for businesses that employ PEOPLE WHO PAY TAXes. Olsen is as wrong for CT as Wright is. May they both go down in flames!

And you 6:45 would rather have him in your control. TFB for you, you can only control Jill Fitzgerald. Go someplace where Nazism works if you can find such a place. You'll never learn and you and your kind will always be losers like you are now.

10:32...If you think the unions are not self serving as opposed to a candidate like Jill Fitgerald who is trying to represnt taxpayers, then my friend it sounds like they got to you too. If your not too old..there may be hope.

The more union endorsements, the less likely to gain my vote.

I am not sure that Jill knows what it is to represent taxpayers.

Just what has she done to give anyone that indication?

On the other hand, she is being manipulated by the "king makers".

Keep in mind that she will have NO clout in Hartford, for Bristol issues.

1:! it's obvious no body can get to you because you are too thick. But I doubt thaat you can ever get to anybody because you haven't got the guts to say who or what you are.Just a whiner Ho Hum !

Which candidate is more likely to support reform of binding arbitration, which is bankrupting cities and towns? The union-endorsed guy? I think not. We need help, and we won't get it from any legislator who is beholden to the unions. Look how Colapietro is helping us with this. (Not!)
