A jobs plan offered by Democrats this week isn’t enough to lure businesses to Connecticut and put money in the pockets of its residents, Republican state Senate hopeful Jason Welch said Thursday.
Welch said a plan state Sen. Tom Colapietro touted “is kind of a Band-Aid when what we need is an organ transplant.”
Welch, a 37-year-old lawyer from Bristol, is aiming to knock Colapietro from the 31st District seat a Bristol Democrat has held since 1992. See the rest of the story by clicking here.

Maybe Ward wants Colapietro out and is selling his soul: look at his appointments.
this is the same cry spouted out by our present legislstive slate two years ago and what has happened? Absolutely nothing.
Maybe this guy can do something, sure as hell can't do any worse than tommy, "the rug."
Straight from the mouth of Republican State Central, direct to your ears.
Whatsa matter Art can't run yourself? I guess Jason is in fact your Puppet of the year. Wait'll he gets to know what a jerk you are. I hope he isn't another one like you. Yawn!
Not that this attorney can't think for himself, but if GOP State Central controlled him it's still better than Tommie-toupe' who's a UNION PAWN.
February 20, 2010 4:06 PM - what has the Democrat controlled Sate Capital done for us! NOTHING! My taxes are about to go up thats all you guys will have credit for and always have credit for! You guys just let the state government keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger! It's time to let some Republicans take a shot at this mess that Democrats have put us in!
Gte rid of Art, and his cronies, and Republican stock will rise tremendously!
Lets see the Republican State Central a drunk in charge and a idiot from Bristol second in command. HaHaHaHa what a pair and they are recommending THIS attorney ? Another insurance agent and a Lawyer at that. Wow that's to be proud of !
YadaYadaYadaa ! Same old useless Republicans with no answers just Yada Yada Yada
Republican Hackers recommendation.
Looks like Welch has hooked up with Art and Art
Does Welch have a feel for, a clue of, Brisol?
Where does the Republicans find these candiates?
The problem with Welch is the problem with all Republicans. They say they want to cut spending, but they never say where. Welch at least comes within striking distance when he says the State needs to "reduce the duplicity [does he mean "duplication"? LOL] of other functions", but exactly where? Rowland and Rell have already done this and combined many departments and commissions that used to be independent. Please show more depth, Mr. Welch. Exactly what services are being duplicated?
Go Jason...we need change in Hartford NOW...your opponent is a major cause of the over inflated union payroll. You obviously have the topee troops all turned up...ignore those hacks and focus on what you will do to reduce spending, create jobs and save homeowners who deserve a helping hand from the the tax and spend democrates like calalpeto who sucked their tax dollars from their budgets.
And those cuts are what ? Just another Republican "Hack" (Puppet).
So hatemongers whats new anything? Typicat Mocabee whiners.
