The old railroad station was located east of Main Street and south of Prospect St. The row of buildings in the picture runs along the north side of Prospect St. The red brick building on the left side of the picture is the Funk Building.
The station was located in what is now the parkinglot that houses the Bank of America ATM drivethru machine on Prospect St.
The buildings in the background are now the "Christian Fellowship Center" (which is now painted white) and the block of buildings on the corner of Prospect and Main St, which house some Bristol Hospital offices.
Bob: I think you may be correct. That explains the odd shaped building at the end of the parking lot of that old bank. It may have been built that way to accomodate for the RR. I have sources that can confirm that. Stay tuned.
To put a little more perspective on the picture....The slanted roof sections of the old railroad station are covering the stairs that used to lead down to Main St. right where the railroad over pass is on Main St.

Where in Bristol was this gem? Tore down when the new North Main was made?
I'm a little unclear on the exact spot, too. Can anyone identify the buildings in the background? They're pretty distinctive.

Looks to me like the West End.

Hope this helps.
