Jason: Please tell us what "mudslinging" Tom Colapietro, or his supporters, have committed against you. I haven't gotten any mailings from his campaign, and I don't think he has placed any ads in the local papers. Please explain.

And by the way: I'm still waiting for examples of your ability to "roll up your sleeves and work with all parties" to find a solution to Connecticut's fiscal problems. Do you expect us to just take your word for this?

You have my vote. Good luck this fall.

Well there wouldn't be any mud slinging if you jerks would stop it. All one has to do (including Welch) is to look at this blog and see who likes to throw mud and make up lies. If he is listening to them he's not who he says he is.I guess he's not the innocent pretty boy he thinks he is. And he is holier than thou? Look close at his history , he's not the angel the republicans want him to be but he seems to be a good puppet for them.

Anonymous said...

He's so cute ! But the only mud I see slung comes from his friends on this republican crying blog.

Anonymous said...

He has GOT to be kidding?! HE'LL fix everything on Election Day? ONE person can fix everything and a newbie at that!? He doesn't even know he will not take office till sometime in January!! He's a joke & he’s now spending the taxpayers’ money on commercials!

Anonymous said...

I don't think Jason was talking about Tom Colapietro, but more a general sense of negative ads this year from both sides of the aisle.

2 Years ago Tom ran unopposed and took taxpayer money and ran ads on the radio, so it is ok for him to do it, but not somebody else.

I think it is a clever ad and is a positive making fun of all the negativity in this state and on this BLOG!!

Odin: Where is Tom's case for being made for going back to Hartford?

Anonymous said...

Seriously, what plan does he have? Everybody is talking about jobs, jobs, and jobs, but how do you create jobs, not through tax incentives because the big businesses take the credits and move the work to another state or even outside the country.
Honestly Jason, do you really believe that you can make such an impact on your very first day??? Do you honestly believe that the Republican leadership is going to cradle your ideas and immediately introduce legislation for them??? Think again kid!!!

As far as the mudslinging goes, Linda's doing a great job of that, and Foley calling Malloy a liar is stepping over the line. Nobody like mudslinging; however, everybody does it, why?? Because, let's face it, they generate attention otherwise, they wouldn't spend thousands or millions of dollars on them.

2:35 YEP!

We already know who your voting for 2:35 . And your picking a loser again.

Jason has FAR LESS experience than Obama had, and look at the lousy job Obama is doing.

Jason is a nice guy, but it is clear to me that he he getting his marching orders fro political hacks who have their own agenda.

Steve, I think you should stop giving Welch free advertising until he steps up to the plate and answers Odin's question about these claims.

Steve Collins said...

Sorry, Craig. It's not advertising. If it was advertising, I'd have been paid. I wasn't.

9:28PM~You Haven't Gotten Any Mailings OR Seen Ad's In The Local Paper BECAUSE,Tommy Is TOO Cheap and He Apparently Just Became Eligible Last Night For His Money...Tommy Doesn't Go For The "Hole's" In The Donuts...For Tommy, It's Me, Me ,Me...Well, You'll See On November 2nd...
It's Time To Go TOMMY COLAPIETRO!!!

Anonymous said...

Craig,

Who is Odin? Maybe Tom should make a couple of commercials and then I bet Steve would deem it news and put it up on his Blog also.

Anonymous said...

Go JASON!

Anonymous said...

Sorry Craig - Jason doesn't have to answer you or Odin.

You clowns are getting more and more stupid by the moment.

Give examples of when he rolled up his sleeves.

He hasn't been elected yet.

Your boi has had 18 years, and in that time the budget deficit has grown, unemployment is at 9.1% and you advocate keeping the status quo.

Craig: The people are pissed and your party better open its eyes real quick or elese your going to witness a Republican landside in November.

Steve Collins said...

Actually, Odin's questions seem pretty reasonable. I'm sure they're among the things I'll be asking Welch soon.

Anonymous said...

Steve,

You as a reporter should ask the question, but why does anybody have to answer a question from a nameless person on an anonymous blog?

I also would remind everybody that Jason's campaign did not ask you to put these commercials up on your blog. You did that on your own and I am pretty sure we did not even email them to you.

If everybody thinks that spending TAXPAYER dollars on campaigns is a waste of money, then why did Tom vote for the system in the first place? I for one think it is a waste of money, but it is the system in which all candidates are to operate. Why did he take the money 2 years ago when he ran unopposed? I think Tom should have to answer those questions, just as much as Jason should answer Odin's questions.

One of Welch’s Hacks

Anonymous said...

I just watched again, and no one accused Tommy of mudslinging. It was descriptive of campaigns in general. Jason is getting away from the mudslinging and wants to change things in Hartford. I'm all for that! Go Jason!

Anonymous said...

Now that one of Welches hacks are want the truth why don't you practice what you preach? Ask him to explain why most of his big bucks come from all the other states but Connecticut? That makes you wonder what all these other state's interest are in CT. Maybe because the money came from insurance agents? And the realtors just endorsed him too? Does'nt the truth hurt now that the Jason hacks are slinging the mud so he doesn't have to. Try fooling the general public again and you hacks wikk find yourselves once again in the losing column.

Anonymous said...

O-dumb: are you jealous of Jason?

You're another public sector "too dumb to be a lawyer or too dumb to have majored in business" lefist, traditional America hating, wanna-be huh?

The mudslinging has begun. You're probably the punk who contrived that sophomoric internet ad.

Welch hasn't accused Colapietro of anything, he's just referring to "mudslinging" in general. Perhaps you just have a guilty conscience?

Obviously being a succesful attorney, Welch has the skills to negotatiate with people and to practice dipolmacy, two traits Colapietro hasn't learened with the over-welming majoities he has had in Bristol and the CT Legislature. Why don't you take your worthless little wanna-be-a-heavy-hitter question and go home. It's bed time for little boys like you.

Anonymous said...

A good, eye-catching ad! Go, Jason!

Anonymous said...

8:06 You sound more like a "punk" yourself. You ain't so tough or you'd step up instead of hiding behind this blog! Just another big mouth faceless bully like the rest of these gutless wonders,

Anonymous said...

Be polite, please. Be aware, too, that your words will mean more if you identify yourself. If you see a comment that should be killed, please tell me about it, including where I can find it in order to remove it. Do yourself a favor and remember that somebody can sue you, subpoena records from Google and find out who you are. So don't say something you wouldn't want to defend in court. They can't or don't know how.

September 26, 2010 5:47 AM:

Same to you (re: punk).

Has Odin "stepped up"? Have you?

Please do.

Anonymous said...

Talk about punks, Odin even hides behind his "handle" in other venues where everyone else identifies themselves. Then it (Odin) tries to "out" people here. But no body can "out" it because it's a nobody and nobody knows it (him or her) and nobody cares.

Anonymous said...

And to you 9:33 When are you going to either tell the real story or do you plan on keeping up the partison lies. YOU the republican cost the taxpayers $28 thousand plus by waiting until Tom was already on the hook for his mailings. When your candidate dropped out is the reason Tom had to spend anything, Also he ran no radeo adds at all last year. Are you badly misinformed or are you just lying again? It's public record so I urge all those reading this to look for yourselves.

Anonymous said...

12:31 Yeah, yeah, yeah typical old trashing from you!

Anonymous said...

4:43 How many of us do you think will believe that crap. Identify yourself if your so smart!

I dislike O-Dumb. I dislike phonies. I dislike government groupies.

I especially dislike disingenuous liberal political hacks, left-wing extortionists and traditional-America-haters.

Is that OK with you?

Anonymous said...

2:35 I guess you're right If he's doing a great job vote him in. That settles it I think he's doing a great job and he's not like you. He's identifed and he tells the truth.
