Cheryl Thibeault gained a four-year reappointment to the Board of Finance this week.
City councilors agreed unanimously to back her for another stint on the powerful panel.

Stortz would be a good choice.

He knows the city finances better than most.

Ward will take care of his pal Messier.

Didn't messier question the concept of a no mill increase?

Cheryl Thibeault was at a loss during the budget process. She is at a loss on the building project she is on. What was Ward thinking?

Thankless job.

Ward is thinking "who votes with me"!

Ward picks who he knows will be on his side for votes on matters he wants. Time to rid city hall of the big rat - Wardie Boy.

Tell that to the Republicans!

The next appointment will probably be another Mize golf partner.

And away we go!

Messier is not going back on the BOF according to the rumor mill out of city hall based on their meeting this past week. Maybe his choice, but one that Ward was leaning toward.

God help us who will come out of this as the new appointment. Tonon may be a Mize golfing buddy but he wasn't a terrible choice. The real issues there are Mize, Erling, Cheryl (don't get that reappointment at ALL other than she works for a major taxpayer) and Peterson who is not a spark on anything but again works for a major taxpayer.

Stortz would be a good appointment and then Art wouldn't have to worry about him because he would dig in to his new job. Another good choice would be Zoppo - great way to finally unite the party for his second term but I doubt Art is secure enough in his own skin to want either one of those. He definately doesn't subscribe to the "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" which he should. And besides that, Klocko would have a fit and we know Art can't stand up to that.

Just about anyone would be better than some of the dinosoars that are on there now: Mize, Roald, Messier, Smith.

No guts, no committment, just glory.

3:47 - sounds as though this person has an inside position who is trying to capitalize on it - maybe the mayor or messier should not be as trustworthy in the future.
