Well, well, who will it be?
Though it's hard to imagine the Greater Bristol Chamber of Commerce without John Leone, a former mayor, it's going to happen.
His successor is supposed to be announced on Tuesday.
The trend has been to pick former mayors -- Mike Werner and Leone come quickly to mind -- but it's hard to believe that Frank Nicastro, Gerard Couture or Bill Stortz would make even the short list. They're not quite of the Werner-Leone mode.
So who they gonna pick? It could be quite interesting, particularly given the clout that the chamber has in town.

Nope nope nope nope
It is amazing that the new chamber prez is not announced when the rumor aroung town is that it is Mike Necastro. But that is the way of the city leaders. secrets talk about our previous administration A Ward is just as bad if not worse with his secrets WAY TO GO ARTIE
Grandpa Woodstock?
I hope it is not Frank Johnson!!!!
Maybe the former president of Bristol Hospital?
Craig Yarde
Despite Zoppo being the deputy in New Britian Chamber of Commerce for 10 years, its not her. C'mon folks, why would the city put people in positions for which they have the qualifications? Hasn't happened yet, as far as I can tell.
Apparently a couple of you dim bulbs don't appear to grasp the concept that the Chamber of Commerce ISN'T PART OF CITY GOVERNMENT; it's a completely separate membership organization with its own executive director.
3:56 - you should really consider getting another set of building blocks because it sure seems as though the big bad wolf has blown yours away.
It will be Gagnon.
I thought Leone was the de facto Mayor!
3:56 ~ What is truly amazing is that you're still so angry Art won the election that you go into attack mode whenever his name is mentioned (and even when it isn't). Guess the fact that he's doing a good job must really be the icing on the cake, huh?
I'M iN the know.
