This one is too close to call .

What about Couture. he was part of the mall.

Rocky Balboa has brain damage from getting his head bashed in from boxing big bad dudes.

What's Artie's excuse? Booze?

...7:02, What possible reason could you have for making such an assinine comment? One can only assume that both you and Rocky have that same brain cell deficiency...

What is the date of the ward picture?

I waited all day for a laugh like that. Thanks, Steve!

Couture don't box.

It's a picture of Art 10 years from now.

YOOOO ADRIAN..

WE DID IT.

We overpaid for a useless mall without even figuring Ocean State Job Lot into the equation - and THEN we took years to get them out, refused to accept a negotiated buyout and now have absolutely no idea what is going to go on that soon-to-be mound of dirt!

Things must be getting slow in the newsroom, Steve, since you've attempted, once again, to make our elected officials look like buffoons such as the ridiculous "Halloween" comparison. You seem to think it's amusing, but I find it disgraceful. All it seeks to do is encourage some individuals to slam the mayor and our elected officials. You are fueling the fire while you sit back and have a good laugh at our mayor's expense. That's not what I call responsible journalism.

I was wrong.

I thought Ken Johnson was the big showboat and actor.

Neither of them!

Art Ward is much more like Rocky's brother in law, Paulie.

1. The city paid fair market value as determined by an appraisal, so what's the factual basis for your opinion that we "overpaid"? 2. Of course the mall building is useless, that's why the city is demolishing it, duh. 3. The city knew perfectly well that Ocean State might play squatter and force us to evict them. Does that mean the city should have abandoned the project? What kind of committment or courage would that have shown? 4. Bill Stortz wanted the city (taxpayers) to give them an outrageous amount of money to leave, on the eve of a Supreme Court decision that ordered them gone, now. You still think the city should have accepted Stortz's "negotiated settlement"? 5. We know exactly what is going in there: a mix of shops and restaurants on the street with apartments/condos/offices above. You got internet access in that cave of yours?

Steve has been doing that for years: are you just becoming aware?

Or do you have a particular interest?

It's possible to both respect public officials and laugh at them - and with them -- at the same time.
You don't have to think poorly of Mayor Ward to see the humor in having him take on the mall to the theme of Rocky. It's inherently funny.
And I'm not the one who made that decision.

.....absolutely correct Steve, if people would just relax a bit instead of having to validate every little thing in order to sound forever logical, life would be a lot more enjoyable.
I hope that the mayor does do this Rocky thing, if for no other reason than to have fun - wow, betcha this post receives a bunch of negative responses.

Shucks, I thoughtthey were talking about the real Rocky, Rocky Cipriano.

Don't all boxers get punchy after a while?

How long has Ward been boxing?
