Colapietro backs Hillary

State Sen. Tom Colapietro sent this:

I think that Barack Obama is very charismatic and his policies are good but I give the edge to Hillary because she has a lot more experience than Obama. I like him a lot but I think she is a very intelligent, strong woman. At this time I will vote for her. The people that have talked to me seem to be for her as well.

Not a very ringing endorsement for the Senator from New York. This is a classic example of a politician hedging his choice if she does not win the Democratic endorsement.

But at least he came out publicly.

I guess the Republicans have been knawing at the bit to say something about Colapietro.

Looks to me like a honest statement from him and only him. How can you find fault with the truth ?

The 5:33 poster did not characterize Colapietro's endorsement as untrue, only hedging.

I would argue that most people would not begin an endorsement of their candidate with stating how much "charisma and his good policies" the opponent has. Tom then states he is endorsing Clinton because of more experience. Obama has far more years of political experience than Hillary. Being the spouse of the politician does not count towards experience. However, this is simply a difference of opinion, which all are entitled.

The fact remains, it's a lukewarm endorsement. If she wins, Tom can say I supported her from the start. If Obama wins, he can say that he thought his policies were good and that he is charismatic.

There is no way that he can lose and in my humble opinion, it's not a ringing endorsement. To give Tom his due, he rarely leaves a doubt as to where he stands.

I rarely agree with his positions on issues, but at least I always know his opinions.

Tom that's why i vote for you.Honest as the day is long ,Clinton has the experience!!

He was really for Ellen on primary day and then really for Art the next day.

He votes for whoever the party tells him to.

He wouldn't vote for his own best friend if his friend wasn't recommended by the party leaders.

Colapietro would probably like to see a return to the party lever (although its a scan sheet now) so that he might not make a mistake himself in the voting booth.

He's a dinosaur and vulgar to boot. Blind party supporters like Colapietro are examples of what is wrong with our political system.

To all you naysayers: Do you republicans that are hiding have an opinion? And if your choice loses are you going to support a democrat ? Or will you support the party choice? What a bunch of jokes you are. You can sure run your mouths off no matter what Colapietro says.

The person who says they would argue would argue no matter what Colapietro said. Are you for real ?

To the fake that says Colapietro is what's wrong with the system is about as fake as they come. They are what's wrong with the system. They don't have the guts nor the courage to come out for any thing, They hide and wait for a democrat to say something and then try to make them sound bad just because they don't agree. They lie as well. They are surely what's wrong with the system.

I don't know who you are and really don't care but you definatly need a shrink !!!

Don't worry, Mocabee will get someone to run against Tom.

Maybe K. Johnson as a warmup for 2009.

Maybe even Art himself.

Tom, brace your self.

I hope you're right then we can count Johnson out as a Mayoral candidate and we can show Mocabee that he can't win the dog catchers job. Remember Mocabee for Mayor ?

I see the nasty cocroaches are coming out of the woodwork. Must be election time !

Tom did you trade your Hillary sign for an Obama sign yet?

Ha HA do you plan on voting Democrat now that Mocabee's favorite lost ? (Romney) Oh and BTW Clinton did win Bristol and Plymouth . Ain't that 2 of Colapietro's towns?
