Prosecutors drop charges against Keegan, former Press editor

Frank Keegan, a former Press editor who's now in charge of the Baltimore Examiner, won't face prosecution over an ugly incident involving a neighbor, a shotgun and cops who were out to get him. Prosecutors decided to drop the case, according to this story.
I never had any doubt he'd beat the rap.

Interesting article. Doesn't sound like the prosecution had much to work with. One of those "he said, she said" cases. No real evidence. Reading between the lines, sounds like someome may have a drinking problem, but who knows, people are nuts! Maybe Frank should start "chewing" tobacco instead and avoid the conflict all together. It's too funny that he lives in the "Federal Hill" section of Baltimore?

I think the cops arrested him mostly because his paper had been riding the police hard for excessive overtime. The cops didn't much like that.

And there it is. There is always more to every story.

More importantly - what does the issue have to do with the City of Bristol. other then runor?

What does it have to do with Bristol? Well, Frank Keegan was editor here for at least seven years, wrote an influential column and has a lot of friends and foes in town. That strikes me as reason enough to pass on the news.
You're free to disagree, of course. And what the heck is "runor"?

evidently, runor is significant enough that it created enough interest for you to respond.

Frank Keegan is an editor with guts. If he were still editor of the Press, we might actually know what was going on in that cesspool of a police department in Bristol.
