City Republican Party Chairman Art Mocabee sent this along recently:
I think Mr. Meisinger has brought to the surface proof once again of just how much the two democratic mayoral candidates care about their own agenda. If one reads the entire complaint, including much of the email surrounding Zoppo's manipulation of the City Council, it is obvious that both Zoppo and Ward prefer to conduct business in a less then public fashion.
It is also obvious that Art Ward is behind all of this along with one or two others. It is this type of ego bashing that Bristol taxpayers have been subject to from Ward Zoppo Minor and Nicastro over the last 8 to 14 years, which none of has moved the needs of the City forward. It is doubtful that this action will have a positive outcome for the City.
I thank Mr. Meisinger for pointing out the flaws of these two candidates...major flaws... and I am sure we have not herd the end of this issue. It is a sad day for Bristol at the hands of the two democratic mayoral candidates: Zoppo and Ward.

Would you expect anything different from Mr. Mocabee he is just as arrogant as Ms. Zoppo.
Mocabee has no business weighing in on this topic. The city didn't elect him into office, and he will end up being the death of Johnson's campaign simply by association.
No one trusts Mocabee any more than they trust Ellen.
Prior to the last election, Mayor Stortz's campaign manager put a gag order on Mr. Mocabee. I received this info first hand from a RTC insider. Senior members of the local RTC identified that Mr. Mocobee's direct, hateful style of discourse, in the forms of letter writing, was hurting and undermining their party's purpose and cause. Even though he has, or did have, the title of chairman of the RTC, I have also directly heard that he may not be the best fit for the position. I suspect that very shortly, one of two things will occur; He will either self-destruct the Republican party in terms of a Democratic sweep at the polls, or he will be gaged again and no more letters or speeches will appear.
Moccabee -- your own party member was also named in this FOI suit. Did you forget that Stortz is a Republican? And that he is the leader of the City Council?? He had full knowledge of everything that went on with the so-called "script." Why is evreyone leaving him out of this fracas??
