Is Mayor Stortz running for reelection?
I asked Mayor William Stortz recently whether he's going to run for reelection. His response? "Who knows? The Shadow do."

That indeed is a curious reply to a direct question. Darn near impossible to interpret. Can you imagine what it must be like for counsel members and City employee's trying to work with him? They don't call him Boomhauer for nothin'!
My best shot is that he was loosely quoting an old radio program known as The Shadow, where in the opening the narrator says "only the shadow knows"
Why he picked that instead of a simple yes, no, or I'll get back to you, only the shadow knows.
I'm partial to consulting the magic 8-ball for predictions personally.
Get one! I find it indispensable! This morning after reading your reply I took the liberty and asked the Ball- "IF Stortz runs again, will he win?" To which the ball replied "outlook not so good"

Boomhauer, for those who don't know "King of the Hill," is a cartoon character who gives lengthy mumbled commentary that's pretty much indiscernable.
