Why would we want anymore controversy with the Mall The people of Bristol made it known last election that they were not happy with the mall purchase and the way it was being handled. It makes no sense to hire a controversial firm that was working closely with the previous Mayor. This is not what the people want. Nine out of 10 people I talk to want the mall sold. We have Developers in this City that want to Develope this property ,they care about Bristol and will do a great job.We dont need the Maguire Group at about $200,000 per year.We didnt need the Developement Group @ $350,000.We have a City Planner that wants to be involved and cant be.We have resources in our own City use them. With the purchase, demolition, and consulting fees associated with this project we will have over $10,000,000. in the malls cost.We now have the Roberts Property unfinished and the Mall unfinished the Bugryn property started. I would ask the City Council to finish at least one Multi-Million Dollar project they have started before buying any others.

And what are your qualifications for having an opinion on this incredibly complicated situation, other than access to a computer keyboard? The BDDC is made up of citizen volunteers who are experts in their respective fields and smart enough to know that they need expert guidance to do this right. If you want quick and dirty actions, you'll get quick and dirty results. (And if your reply to my rhetorical question is that this is not a complicated situation, I rest my case.)
