Nicastro justifies his yes vote

The two-year, $37 billion spending plan adopted last night is "a fair budget" that deserves to be signed by Gov. Jodi Rell, said state Rep. Frank Nicastro. a Bristol Democrat.
"The Democrats worked very, very hard to put together a budget," Nicastro said.
He said the spending plan includes "massive cuts" and some tax hikes.
"There was no other way," Nicastro said.
He said that legislators "did what they had to do" insrtead of "sitting back and whining and complaining" about a budget that everyone can find fault with.
"We didn't sit back and say no," Nicastro said. "We did what had to be done."
"It's easy to criticize when you're in the minority," Nicastro said, but the majority had to take action.
Nicastro hailed the inclusion of funds for the technical school and courthouse.
He said he was especially grateful to Art Marino, who collected more than 600 signatures supporting the technical school. Nicastro said the petitions were given to House Speaker Chris Donovan of Meriden.

NiCastro sold out the people of the state of Connecticut and his fellow citizens in Bristol to secure other legislators votes on his bills. It is just inconcievable that Frank Nicastro has turned into a strong tax and spend liberal who see's taxes as the only thing that Bristols residents need more of. He doesn't deserve another term in office.

If the Dems are in charge with a veto proof majority why did this take so long Frank?

Believe it or not, I am an R who has voted for Frank in the past. This time, if a good candidate runs against him he will lose my vote. I am highly, highly disappointed in you Mayor Frank.
