Colapietro cleared in campaign flap

A campaign complaint filed against state Sen. Tom Colapietro a year ago has been tossed out by the state Elections Enforcement Commission.
The Nov. 17, 2009 complain by T.J. Barnes, Bristol’s GOP leader, accused the Democratic senator of failing to obey state laws governing when legislative candidates have to form campaign committees.
Colapietro said he’s not surprised at the unanimous ruling in his favor.
“It was silly in the first place,” said Colapietro, who lost a reelection bid to Republican Jason Welch.

If Tom is reading this and I doubt he is. I wanted to thank you for your many years of service not only to your district but to the ST. of CT. Enjoy your retirement and good luck on any future endeavours you may pursue.

PAc...you mean Mocabee's job (minus the Barne$$ connection)?

Yes, Tom thanks for your years of public service. He served Bristol a good long time, and deserves some respect.
Hopefully somebody takes advantage of an opportunity, and does some positive things.
So far I am not impressed.
Time to put down the mud, and do some work for the public. Just like Tom use to do.

Impress me before the next election ;)

Ben:

If you had been paying attention for the last ten years, you'd know that Tommie was a crass, one-way. attack dog and lackey for the unions foremost, with a taint perhaps of what was in the best interest or what was the general opinion of the people of Bristol. His loss is Bristol's gain.

7:59 If people had been paying attention for the last ten years they would see how useless and "mindless" all you phony republirats are. What are you going to do now that Colapietro is gone ? Keep up the same old trash you have ? "Useless" republirats as usual.

Ben said...

Yes, I believe he did the job for the last 18 years?
What does that tell you about the voters?
Go ahead call us some names!
I think you guys over play the union connection. To your own ends, of course.

Do you want Welch to win another term, or you guys into term limits?

As far as Sunday booze, I am dead set against it. I love to drink, drive, then go to work (sarcasm), but in the interest of the small mom and pop shops, I am against this law change. I can buy my booze on Saturday.
Once again show me you care more about big business, and money.

It took Terryville to rescue us from this idiot . Too bad he never bothered to find out where Terryville was .

Ben:
You're responding to what I wrote mostly. And with all due respect to the soon-to-be former State Senator, for you to say that the the "union connection" is over played proves that you are totally ignorant of reality. I suggest you refrain from voting from now on. It'll do the state well.

Too bad the a hole Reality didn't know what he was talkinhg about. Is Welch like you rats? I doubt it.
HaHa we don't even know what he is. Much less find Terryville.

Over the years I have had my differences with Tom. Some political some stupidity (there is a difference!). He still will remain in my mind on the far opposite end of the spectrum from me, however, he did serve for 18 years and was a gentleman in accepting his defeat. From a foe, thank you Tom.

MP,

Yes I was, and yes I will continue to vote.
If all Welch supporters are like you, I will never vote for him again. I now realize I made a mistake.
I beleave Tom's 18 years deserves some respect.
As far as your criticisms of him, I now realize he was doing what I wanted of him. Nothing wrong with supporting workers. The big bad unions are no more, well, except for out of control public unions. What will you use as the next boogyman?

Anonymous said...

Tom who?

Anonymous said...

Ben:

It's too bad you vote, because you don't know what you're doing.

Ben said...

Anonymous 9:01,

Not only do I vote, I have an opinion. You may not like it, so what? The fact is I do know what I am doing, and it's not want you want, so what?
Convince me I'm wrong, the name calling, doesn't work ;)
Anyone who post anonymously, and tells people not to vote, and criticizes people for voting, is not a good citizens at best.

I my not agree with your opinions, but I support your right to vote. As matter of fact I encourage it.

Hey Toupes R Us, Maybe if you would admit that there is a lot more he said that is coming true. So if you are talking victories here you might want to mention that it took you dumb Republicans 18 years to get rid of him. And you and your name callers still have accomplished nothing except all you can say on the blog is "we love you Jason" No more Hamzy ! (not much of an accomplishment)

Ben:

You're nobody. Go away.

Ben:

I'm convinced you're a flake. That's all that matters.

Anonymous 8:10, 8:59,9:01, 9:09

Ignorant? How is that? I respect somebody for his hard work and public service? I don't support Sunday sales. You are not very clear on your point.

9:01 But I think I do, and that's all that matters when I vote.

8:59 That Hilter refernce is as funny as hell. It's a well known blogging tatic, look it up.

You all just don't debate very intelligently at all. You show your own ignorances while calling other names. It's ok I know you are just learning how to blog, but it would be nice if you were decent about it. Easy to be the way you are when you hide behind anonymity.

In a decently moderated blog you would be banned, or at least warned.

Everybody has the right to vote, just how many really do? You are foolish to tell people not to vote. You should be trying to convince me of your view. Sometimes I get into a debate just to learn. You have tought me nothing but your hatred.

A word to you anonymous attackers. I have had much worse. Name calling, and personal attacks don't bother me. I grown up with real bullies, so cyber bullies have no effect. I belonged to a very tightly moderated polictical blog, and they taught me well.

Best of all, I vote!

noble gesture moccabee, who wrote it for you? U have nothing done anything positive unless u made money on it.

Anonymous said...

Gee Ben, maybe you should try to figure out WHY you are a target of so many attacks. We already know...see if you can figure it out too.

Anonymous said...

8:51 We don't even know who or what you are so how can anyone figure out anything you say? We just know you are against everything unless you cone up with it. Anonymous moaning is usless just like you!
