Rocky Mountain News closes

Here's a video -- which hits close enough to home to make me feel pretty sad --  that tells the tale:

You ought to read Mike Littwin's "Not just closing doors, but dying," too.

I feel especially bad because a number of Rocky Mountain News staffers expressed support for us during the darkest days of December, when it looked grim for The Bristol Press. We got lucky. They didn't.

This is further proof of the impending doom of the liberal print media.

However Grievin' Steven, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for this free news source (I don't need to buy the Press now, ha ha just kidding). A few stories you posted here are really eye-opening and informative. Although I enjoy giving you a (in my opinion a somewhat deserved hard time), your writing is insightful and is generally an asset to the community.

Again thank you and peace.

Steve, thanks for sharing this story. It's indeed a sad day when one of this country's oldest and most well-respected newspapers is so ignominiously tossed out like...well, like yesterday's paper.

Heaven forbid that anyone here in Bristol should take even a passing interest in something that's occurring elsewhere in the country. We wouldn't want our parochial view of things to broaden any, would we?
