Congratulations to Bristol native Michelle Guerette, who earned an Olympic silver medal in the women's single sculls rowing competition today in Beijing. Pretty darn impressive.

So why am I not surprised that even something as positive as this accomplishment cannot be reported here without it generating some wise-ass comment from the peanut gallery? Man, how pathetic is that?

Gamache is a annoying..just go retire someplace Gamache...go deliver newspapers or something constructive instead of boring us with your meaningless commentary which is so biased to begin with.
Gee guys, what makes you think YOUR opinion is so much more valuable than Mr. Gamache's? At least he's got enough courage to post his name and never goes into name calling tirades like some of you do (and no I'm not Mr. G, a friend or relative either). He's got the same right to comment as the rest of us.
Congratulations to Michelle, that is great news. Besides being an Olympic medalist, she's also extremely intelligent; she was valedictorian of her class at Central, and graduated from Harvard.
