Just a quick word to let you -- cranks and faithful readers alike - know that I am back from a two-week vacation. I had a nice time, thank you very much.
So what'd I miss?

Steve,

I heard Rosenthal has been collecting money for Nicastro's state rep. campaign. Have you heard this? Is this breaking any laws since he is a department head? No wonder why Nicastro voted to appoint him again!!

Good old Frank!! Once again taking care of those who help him stay in office!!

Clearly Rosenthal isn't doing any work or the city of Bristol!

Certainlt not getting any results.

Any truth to the story that he failed to use bout a half million dollars in incentive money?

9:01 poster,

If this is true Ward will do nothing! He will protect Franky and tell his buddy Rosenthal to behave. I wonder how much Rosenthal raised for Ward's campaign??

Ward needs all the "friends" he can get, and cannot afford to offend those that are willing to help, including Rosenthal and Nicastro.

Just another example of why we need a COO! The good old boy's hard at work, protecting each other.

I wonder how many people donated to Nicatro's campaign from Easton, CT or gave cash that will never be found out?

Please explain how a COO COO will change the political process, especially of the election of Councilmembers?

Hey Steve, glad your back. I took a few days off too. Let me tell you what I did on my vacation. I stopped by and visited a 5.3 million dollar "Farmers Market" in downtown Bristol. I then took a walk through a vandalized Brackettt Park and visited "The Shops At Bristol's West End". I could not believe all the old book stores, antique shoppes and coffee shops! I then decided to grab a hamburger at "Ken's Grill" which is probably the most glamourous and best restaurant North Main Street will ever see. Anyway Steve, this is only humor and satire, sort of like a Jim Shea piece in the Courant. I apologize if I offended anyone with my negative bantering. I really DO love Bristol. I just wish I could see it getting better, but I don't.

Seems Rosenthal always talks (lies) his way out of everything. He will just keep bringing this city down, but apparently the powers that be will never figure this out. Don't ever trust him.

A slong as Rosenthal has the support of Ward and Nicastro he will continue on the same path!

To the 8/12 poster at 6:41 PM: if you think that what you wrote passes for humor and/or satire in any way, shape or form comparable to Jim Shea's columns in the Hartford Courant, I'd suggest you keep your day job.

And you've sure got a peculiar way of showing your "love" for Bristol. Maybe instead of just WISHING to see it get better, perhaps you should channel some of your energy into actually MAKING it better.
